Hilltop Campus Village Invites Community to Brady Street Sprints Party at MLK Park

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Hilltop Campus Village is excited to invite residents, visitors, running enthusiasts, and families to the Hilltop Brady Street Sprints Party on Thursday, July 23, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Park (501 Brady Street) in Davenport.
The Hilltop Campus Village is a proud supporter of the Bix 7 race as it is the beginning and end of the grueling 7 mile race. Additionally, the Hilltop is a big supporter of the Brady Street Sprints, occurring on the evening of Thursday, July 23rd. It is a perfect time to kick the weekend off with some live entertainment, food trucks, and cheering on some of our local running talent as they sprint up the intense Brady Street Hill.
Located just steps from the race course, the Brady Street Sprints Party will feature food, refreshments, community activities, and a place for families to relax. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of sprints, neighborhood fellowship, and summer fun at MLK Park.
"The Brady Street Sprints brings the best local track athletes," said Brian Kramer, Executive Director of the Hilltop Campus Village. "We want to welcome those visitors to the Hilltop while creating an event that helps celebrate the beginning of Bix Weekend, and provides and opportunity to activate MLK Park with activities and music."
The event is part of the Hilltop Campus Village's ongoing effort to activate public spaces, increase foot traffic for neighborhood businesses, and build stronger connections between residents, institutions, and visitors. Community events like the Brady Street Sprints Party help
showcase the Hilltop as a vibrant destination while supporting the organization's mission of neighborhood revitalization through placemaking and economic development.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy the festivities at MLK Park, grab some wonderful food from the vendors, and enjoy music. An added amenity will be the new murals that have been unveiled at the Park in late June and early July.
