Greatest Grains Sweetheart Dinner
Greatest Grains’ Events Center will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Dinner on Friday, February 14th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Couples are welcome to bring their own beer or wine, no corking fee. The night will be full of great food, fun, and live music.
The cost per couple is $65, RSVP required by February 11th. Ticketing is available online, through eventbrite.com, or by calling 563-323-7521 and mentioning the Sweethearts Dinner Event.
The Backroom Comedy Theater Valentine’s Showcase
The Backroom Comedy Theater inside Stickman’s will have a special Valentine’s Day comedy showcase featuring Scott Long, a national touring comic featured on NBC, Comedy Central and Fox. He is also very well-known for his appearances on the Bob and Tom show. The show starts at 9PM, and tickets can be ordered here.
Big River Bindery’s Pint and Print: Pressure Print Valentine
Get an amazingly unique experience and print your own Valentine’s card using the pressure print method at Big River Bindery. This shop in the heart of the Hilltop Campus Village celebrates the art of the book. Learn about printing methods and then get set up the printing of your own card!
Enjoy a FREE local beer (21 and older) while you work the presses.
Participants will take home 4 handmade prints and bragging rights that you printed it yourself. $20 for the evening (additional prints $1 each). This event is Thursday, February 5, 7pm to 9pm. Heart-Shaped Treats Available at East Side Bakery
Stop in early in the week or on V-Day itself and buy your sweetie some handmade sweets. East Side Bakery will be offering heart shaped cookies, little cakes and even pizzas from Tuesday, Feb 10 through Saturday, Feb 14. One of the Hilltop Campus Village’s popular new businesses, the East Side Bakery is located at 1501 Harrison St.
